If you're dating someone, it is not necessarily exclusive, but I find it less complicating if it is. What they are (bf/gf) depends on how they relate to each other and what they want.

After that, the date is over. Have a few more dates before you thing about other things going on. Take it nice and slow. Sometimes a date or two, may make or break the beginning of a relationship.
