Lu Tiner: when you've seen as many movies as most critics have seen, a mediocre movie just isn't entertaining anymore. if it isn't well done, it wasn't enjoyable and wasn't worth the time and, therefore, it wasn't "good". the big difference between critics and your average teenage moviegoer isn't that critics are opposed to "entertaining" movies, it's just that they've seen a hell of a lot more movies. therefore, they've seen more movies that were well done. After seeing The Maltese Falcon and Some Like It Hot (both movies created for pure entertainment), "Dude, where's my car" just doesn't get it anymore....Show more
