What do vegans eat on long haul flights?

Burt Cheevers: Request in advance on the airline. You can also just bring food from your favorite restaurant onto the plane. It'll stay good. Or bring something from the airport restaurants. Most airline terminals have a site where you can find what restaurants are at each location.I, personally, just don't eat on those flights (air sickness). Just soda, and maybe fruit. Because I'm a wuss....Show more

Eulah Hugill: There are vegan meals- generally tastier than the regular meals. They are frequently salad, steamed vegetables, and fruit.I always carry a couple of LaraBars and a bag of raw almonds on flights.

Gale Hartt: If an airline serves a meal on the plane, you can usually request a vegetarian or vegan meal in advance. Call the airline and check. Just in case, bring snacks with you! Pack fruit (depends on the country you are traveling to, but if you can't bring it through security, you may be able to buy it in the airport), nuts, and/or protein bars.

! Katheryn Skrobacki: Many airlines will provide vegetarian/vegan meals but you have to request them in advance.
