Libby Berkovitch: Depends entirely on what laws are where you live.Ask local adults for real information as it varies greatly.U could get bad credit debt from it.
Rubi Romo: What happened is that you are using the same insurance company as your parents, so for each car added, they give you a multi car discount. Notify the old insurance company and let them know about the new policy. If, your family has an agent, the agent can do this. They may need proof of the "effective" date of new policy, to show you had insurance. Appears you pay monthly, so there could be some cancellation fees. But, if I had to guess, won't be more than 1 month of the old premium. But based on the new rate, will be saving a huge amount over time....Show more
Terrell Voltz: If you don't want the coverage anymore, then you take action to CANCEL the policy. Time to start acting like an adult.
Maynard Reevers: If you don't pay the insurance, it will cancel. If it cancels for non-p! ayment, they will notify the State of California. Will the State of California put two and two together, to figure out that you are covered (you already have insurance)? Or is the state going to miss that and revoke the registration on the car...- the same thing is you have an auto loan. Is the loan going to put on their own insurance because they don't think you have any because of a cancellation.Step 1 = notify the insurance company the insurance is cancelled because you have a new policy.Step 2 = open your credit report.... look through the ENTIRE report... do you see your auto insurance policy listed on the report? a) if you have previous past due items, you will see your auto insurance listed as a negative itemb) if you have always paid your bill on time, auto insurance will NOT be listed on your credit report.Things like insurance (car insurance, health insurance) and utilities (cell phone, internet, regular utilities like electricity, gas, etc) are not listed on ! your credit report and do not impact your credit score if you ! always pay on time. If you have negative items THEN your score will decrease. The minute you did something on your credit, like applied for car insurance or a cell phone, you "instantly" went from no credit to having credit. A you compare credit scores to school, a 620 is the lowest of the C-. My guess is that you have applied for a few credit items, like the car insurance or cell phone which gave you the score. But you have not done anything with the credit, like have a monthly credit card payment so there is nothing to increase your score from the C-....Show more
Lucien Hellerman: If you do not cancel it yourself, then you have to pay for the time up to whenever they cancel it, which will be soon, but not immediately. If you do not cancel it yourself, and they cancel it, and they don't know that you have insurance from another company, then they have to tell the DMV and the DMV will think that you don't have any insurance and will cancel your car registration, s! o you won't be allowed to drive (even though you will have insurance from another company). You must, must, cancel the insurance yourself, before the insurance company cancels it, and you must, must, tell the old insurance company that you have gotten insurance from another insurance company, before they cancel the insurance....Show more
Robt Betker: You can lie all you like, but you owe the money, and NO it wont go away.
Rona Ising: i'm in california if that helps.
