Only Citizens can get benefits from the government, in some cases PR but only after they have been in Australia for a number of years since gaining PR.If you have to study here to get the points - you will not be eligible for anything during that time.Sydney cost of living is the more $$$ of Australia - a place to live is around 400K which is 8 times a teachers annual salary (as a guide).Perm job - depends on what your speciality is and whether there is a demand for it - and then whether you are considered a good fit with the rest of the team....Show more

In terms of you specific questions, yes children education is free for citizens alongwith many other family and medical benefits. Visa processing is quicker for Australia, job opportunities similar to Canada, weather it depends what you like if you like cold and snow, Canada is the place, if you like tropical, make it Australia. Cost of living, Canada is probably relatively cheaper. You are asking if life will be a struggle, tell me when life is not a struggle? Wasnt it a struggle when you were back in India?
