How do I change the Caller ID name people see when I call them from my land phone?

Seema Hosfeld: my land phone has an option to store phone numbers in its phone directory. so i can have Jane Smith and the #, or Jane - Cell and the #, or whatever i like. and when that person calls, thats what i see. maybe you can find out if your phone can do that, or try to exchange your current phone for one that does. but i dont think thats possible though.

Now I know how that creep called me the other night from my own house and scared me and the police spent time and money looking for sombody that lives hundreds of miles away. Just get a second phone line. You can claim it on your ta! xes as a business expense you goof. If you make enough to be able to work from home it shouldn't be that big of an expense anyway and most companies are willing to help you pay for lans line or at the very least a cell phone to a) keep track of where you are and b) help you keep your two live separate. I use a separate home phone for business calls when I'm not in the office and I would like this to read the company name. If I change this through the phone company they will charge me significantly more for a business line and it's not worth it. Maybe being able to change the name is called spoofing.
